Brentwood Ventures, LLC Closes Acquisition of Jacksonville’s Great Atlantic Outfitters

Brentwood Ventures LLC of Jacksonville is pleased to announce the acquisition of Great Atlantic
Outfitters effective May 1, 2022.
Great Atlantic Outfitters has produced custom logo apparel in the North Florida marketplace since 1994
and provides screen-printing and embroidery services to a wide customer base including corporations,
small businesses, schools, churches, events, and other organizations. Founded by Shawn Riley of
Jacksonville Beach, FL and Bob Morris of Neptune Beach, FL the company has grown to be one of
Jacksonville’s largest producers in the industry due to their honest and dependable service.
Steve Dean formed Brentwood Ventures in 2021 after a 35+-year career in the logistics industry where
he held senior executive positions for Fortune 500 companies including Ryder Logistics and Con-way
Transportation. Dean also owns Addix Sportswear, a custom sports uniform manufacturer based in
Lowell, MI. His skills in marketing and LEAN manufacturing led to an incredible turnaround of the
business and he plans to implement those strategies to strengthen Great Atlantic Outfitters while also
growing the Addix brand in the Southeast region.
“During my career I spent time in Jacksonville and fell in love with the area,” remarked Dean. “My wife
Jill and I bought a house here in 2016 and the logical next step was to expand our business to the local
market. Rather than starting from scratch, I wanted to team up with an established business and Great
Atlantic Outfitters was a perfect match!”
Morris added, “After serving Jacksonville for almost 3 decades, Shawn and I had put in motion a 5-7 year
business exit strategy. Steve’s offer shortened that timeframe and it will be exciting to see where his
vision takes the company moving forward. We are honored to be retained as part of his leadership team
and are excited to now offer custom team uniforms in addition to our popular selling t-shirts, polos,
jackets, and hats.”
Immediate plans include expansion into a larger facility which will allow production to meet increased
demand. Opening a uniform division in the future which will include sublimation dye decoration, laser
cutting, and sewing operations to handle overflow from the Michigan plant and more quickly service the SE U.S. region is also in planning stages.
